The Garmisch adventure, day one

On our first day, we ventured out into the beautiful sunshine. The boys enjoyed checking out the snow, as we headed for the train stop on the way to the Zugspitze, the roof of Germany! Everyone wrapped up well - scarves, gloves, hats, long johns, extra socks - it was a short walk from the hotel to the train, through some beautiful, snowy fields. It was so still and quiet. Our train went through the cutest German villages, where everything was covered with ice and snow. Once we arrived, we headed for the cable car to the top! Jim didn't seem so sure about that part of the plan...ha ha.
