Tower of London

The Tower of London is huge, and there is much to see. It is the original royal palace/castle, dating back to the time of William the Conqueror in 1066. Lots of action in this place - torture, murder and beheadings, oh my! That is also where the British crown jewels are stored. We took the tour with the Yeoman Warders, or "Beefeaters" - it was very interesting to find out that they are all retired military men. We all enjoyed the tour - well, I say all - Michael fell asleep right in the middle of the tour! Gotta love touring Europe while carrying a sleeping toddler...
